Curriculum Features
The learning atmosphere in this institute is excellent. The graduate students are varied in their background that includes electronic or electrical engineering, physics, chemistry, biology etc. Therefore, the admitted students may experience a cultural impact through cooperation in laboratory and exchange of opinion in classroom, leading to the creation of new ideas and notions. The student-teacher ratio is less than 7 in this institute, so small-class teaching is applied to most of the classes to achieve optimal learning. The full-time professors are encouraged to try their best to provide professional courses associated with their research fields. In addition, the institute offers a special course, "Advanced Optoelectronic Experiment Project", in which each laboratory contributes part of its facilities and provides an experimental project. Graduate students from different laboratories thus have chances to understand the research in other laboratories and further expand their research vision.
